Bela was the youngest of Iszak and Esther’s twelve children. He was born after Moric had left for America and when Lajos was already fighting in World War I. He was just 11 when he arrived in America, along with three of his older siblings. During World War II, he served in the US Army in Europe, where his fluency in Hungarian made him especially useful. He was wounded in a plane crash while serving there. He married Evelyn H. Dubin and lived in Florida. They had one daughter, Vicki.
